Northwest Eye Surgeons is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our fast-paced clinical team. You will support physicians, ensure efficient patient flow, and deliver an exceptional patient experience using advanced diagnostic equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy clinical setting.
• Professional demeanor and commitment to patient confidentiality.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist where needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient workups and ophthalmic testing
• Accurately document examination findings, assessments, and treatment plans
• Assist ophthalmologists during examinations, procedures, and in-office laser treatments
• Obtain and document patient medical histories
• Educate patients regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment recommendations
• Ensure patients understand physician instructions and follow-up care
• Maintain efficient patient flow and communicate appointment status
• Administer ophthalmic medications as directed
• Sterilize instruments and maintain ophthalmic equipment
• Triage patient phone calls according to clinical protocols
• Assist patients with contact lens insertion and removal
• Clinical Skills & Equipment Experience Preferred

Position Summary:

As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting physicians, ensuring efficient patient flow, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.
