In this vital role, you’ll work directly with patients and physicians, performing essential clinical duties to prepare patients for their examinations and assist with in-office procedures. Position Overview:
As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will:
️ Conduct preliminary eye exams and patient screenings.
️ Clearly communicate eye health information and care instructions to patients.
️ Administer topical medications and assist with in-office surgical and laser procedures.
️ Triage acute patient concerns over the phone and help manage timely scheduling.
️ Ensure accurate documentation and maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience as an ophthalmic or optometric technician or in a clinical setting (preferred).
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification is a plus — or the willingness to obtain within 18 months of hire.
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional medical team.
