Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of related experience or training preferred.
  • Current COA or COT certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient service during encounters (in person or via phone).
  • Greet patients professionally and ensure a courteous experience.
  • Anticipate physician needs to facilitate clinic flow.
  • Verify patient information and medical history; document in EMR.
  • Perform diagnostic tests (dilation, refraction, pressures, visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, auto refractor, topography).
  • Document visits and procedures accurately as performed by the physician.
  • Prepare patients for treatments; record vital signs as required.
  • Open/close exam rooms and maintain supplies; general office duties.
