Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a dedicated ophthalmic assistant to join our eye care team. You will perform comprehensive ophthalmic assessments and diagnostic tests as directed by the ophthalmologist, contributing to high-quality patient care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of ophthalmic assistant experience, and current COA/COT/COMT/CRA or OCT-c certification. You will work with an integrated team in a full-time clinic schedule.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED.
• Two years experience as an ophthalmic assistant.
• Active COA, COT, COMT, CRA or OCT-c cert required on hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Performs a comprehensive ophthalmic assessment on ocular patients.
• Performs diagnostic tests as indicated or requested by the ophthalmologist.
• Functions autonomously as part of an integrated team of ophthalmic support services.
• Performs patient education regarding treatment of ocular conditions and preventative care.
