Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a dedicated ophthalmic assistant to join our eye care team. You will perform comprehensive ophthalmic assessments and diagnostic tests as directed by the ophthalmologist, contributing to high-quality patient care.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of ophthalmic assistant experience, and current COA/COT/COMT/CRA or OCT-c certification. You will work with an integrated team in a full-time clinic schedule.

Performs a comprehensive ophthalmic assessment on ocular patients. Performs diagnostic tests as indicated or as requested by the ophthalmologist. Functions autonomously as part of an integrated team of ophthalmic support services. Performs patient education in regard to treatment of ocular conditions as well as preventative care.
High school education or GED. Two years experience as an ophthalmic assistant. Must have technical and diagnostic skills to perform a comprehensive ophthalmic assessment along with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Must have effective keyboarding skills. Current, active COA, COT, COMT, CRA or OCT-c certification is required upon hire, be current for 90 days following start date, and maintained for duration of employment.
