Job summary

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, located in Philadelphia, seeks an ophthalmic assistant to support eye screening and diagnostic testing under an ophthalmologist’s supervision. The role also provides essential clerical and administrative support to the ophthalmology team.

The position involves travel to Bucks County satellite offices and possibly other departments to help cover priority needs, with a Monday–Friday schedule and regular start/end times at the Bucks County location.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant within 12 months of hire.
  • Healthcare/clerical experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of an ophthalmologist, perform eye screening and diagnostic testing for patient evaluation.
  • Provide clerical/administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:15a - 4:45p. The scheduled start and end times require flexibility to meet the needs of the practice. In addition to working at Bucks County Satellite Office, there will be travel to our other departments/satellite offices to provide support until hours will be worked only at Bucks County.
