Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Surgical Technician experience preferred, but we are willing to train.
• Eye surgery experience is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Favorable result on background check required.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assists in surgical operations under the supervision of Surgeons, Registered Nurses and Surgical Assistants.
• Assists in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established standards and company policies.
• Assists the Nurses and Surgeons in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Performs duties ethically and legally within certification scope and HIPAA regulations.
• Opens sterile packs, prepares instruments, and maintains OR readiness.
• Gathers supplies, assists with instrument passes, and helps with specimen handling.
