Eye Care Associates of St. Louis in Richmond Heights, MO is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to provide high-quality patient care. The role involves conducting eye exams, performing diagnostic testing, and assisting in minor procedures within a busy practice.

Ideal candidates are motivated, outgoing, and team-oriented, with strong communication skills and experience with ophthalmic equipment and EMR systems. Training to obtain COA within 1–2 years is available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, reconcile current medications and performing preliminary eye examinations.
• Administer diagnostic tests such as applanation tonometry, refracting with a phoropter, visual acuities, etc.
• Other testing may include OCTs, Visual Fields, Topography and Fundus Photos.
• Assist in minor surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory standards in our EMR system.
• Return calls to patients / pharmacies in a timely manner.
• Communicate and work well with patients, coworkers and physicians.
