US Military Treatment Facilities under DHA seeks a Health Technician (Ophthalmology) to provide specialized refractive surgical and perioperative care at a medical facility. The role includes in-the-operating-room support as a Laser System Operator and assisting with complex refraction and related ophthalmic procedures.

The candidate will work under federal Direct Hire Solicitation guidelines and must meet specialized experience or education requirements outlined for ophthalmic care support

Formación

• One year of specialized experience in ophthalmic/refractive clinical and surgical support.
• Experience assisting in operating room as Laser System Operator for refractive surgery lasers.
• Education: 9 semester hours of graduate study in a directly related field (optometry/ophthalmology).

Responsabilidades

• Provide perioperative refractive surgical support and assist with clinical procedures including refraction and lensometry.
• Assist ophthalmology providers in the operating room during refractive surgery.
• Support patient care before, during, and after procedures such as slit lamp exams and contact lens management.
