Job summary

The University of Miami Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is hiring a full-time Manager, Ophthalmic Service, Retina Neuro. You will supervise administrative staff, coordinate patient care activities, and support multiple ophthalmic specialties across onsite and hybrid settings.

Responsibilities include analyzing clinical data, preparing dashboards and reports, developing SOPs, and leading initiatives to improve provider productivity and patient satisfaction. Epic EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years leadership experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience with an EMR system (Epic preferred).
• Experience supervising staff and managing projects.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe.
• Knowledge of scheduling and patient flow systems (e.g., QGenda).

Responsibilities

• Oversee administrative staff and resolve patient, physician, and staff concerns.
• Analyze clinical data and prepare reports for leadership.
• Develop SOPs and training materials for department functions.
• Support service-line expansion through budgets, proposals, and research.
• Monitor provider productivity, patient volumes, wait times, and scheduling.
