Job summary

Ridge Eye Care Inc. is seeking a Surgical Scrub Technician to support the operating room in alignment with policies and procedures. You will prepare supplies, maintain a sterile field, and anticipate surgeon needs across each case.

The role requires sterilization discipline, instrument handling accuracy, and collaboration with OR staff. You will operate LenSx equipment and assist in glaucoma procedures while ensuring patient safety and efficient room turnover.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician certification program or Sterile Processing certification program.
• 1 year of medical experience required.
• Ophthalmic surgical technician experience preferred.
• Background check and driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for scheduled procedures, including setup and turnover.
• Scrub in and assist surgeon during procedures while maintaining sterile field.
• Perform pre-operative testing, including Argos measurements.
• Operate the LenSx laser and ensure parameters for LenSx patients are set.
• Assist with focusing the ECP monitor during glaucoma treatments.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments per protocols.
• Maintain instruments in optimal condition and ready for use.
• Maintain records related to instrument processing and sterilization.
