Sight360 in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a dedicated Surgery Scrub Technician to support ophthalmic procedures. You will prepare sterile supplies, assist with gowning, gloving, draping, and instrument handling to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years as an ophthalmic scrub, CPR certification, and prefer Certified Surgical Technologist credentials. This full-time role offers benefits and growth within Sight360's vision care network.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years as Ophthalmic Surgery Scrub Technician.
• Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Functions as a scrub technician in the operating room.
• Assists with gowning and gloving other members of the surgical team.
• Assists with the preparation of the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Assists with skin preparations and with draping of patients.
• Assists with care, preparation, maintenance, and after-care of sterile and unsterile supplies and equipment.
• Knows and practices the principles and techniques of sterile technique.
• Handles specimens in accordance with procedures.
• Removes drapes at end of procedure, cleanses the patient of prep solution and applies dressing as needed.
• Cleans instruments and equipment after use and returns them to proper area for storage processing.
• Participates in sponge, instrument, and needle counts with the circulating nurse as deemed necessary.
• Demonstrates ability to understand and use autoclaves, sonic cleaner and washer/disinfector
• Attends and participates in staff meetings and in-service programs.
• Participates in departmental conferences, orientation of new personnel and inservice programs as assigned.
• Assists with stocking, replenishing, and preparation of supplies.
• Updates knowledge in surgical techniques and related nursing care.
• Performs all other duties assigned by supervisor.
