Job summary

OCLI Vision is hiring ophthalmic technicians and scribes to support providers at the Floral Park clinic. You will conduct pre-exam testing, document encounters in the EMR, assist during exams, and help maintain patient flow to ensure smooth service.

Key responsibilities include obtaining patient history, eye testing, administering eye drops, and documenting findings and plans. Ophthalmology experience is preferred, with growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history.
• Perform vision testing (distance, near, peripheral, depth, color).
• Administer eye drops (dilating, anesthetic, medicated).
• Conduct routine and ancillary ophthalmic testing.
• Scribe and document provider findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Triage urgent cases and maintain patient flow.
• Prepare exam/procedure rooms and assist physicians as needed.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Follow infection control and confidentiality standards.

Salary Range: $20.50 To $22.50 Hourly

The Role

We’re hiring compassionate and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technicians and Scribes to support our providers and enhance the patient experience.

In this role, you’ll perform pre-exam testing, document patient encounters in the EMR, assist during exams and procedures, and help ensure smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.

You play a key role in helping our physicians diagnose and treat eye conditions.

Key Responsibilities
