Job summary

Spectrum Vision Partners (SVP) and OCLI Vision seek an Ophthalmic Scribe 2 for our Fairfield, CT clinic. You will accompany physicians during exams, document real-time patient interactions, and assist with testing and procedures.

This full-time position requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to stand and lift up to 10 lbs. Prior ocular knowledge is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Outgoing, dependable, and service-oriented.
• Calm under pressure, adaptable to change.
• Positive team player with a can-do attitude.
• Ocular pharmacology knowledge is a plus (not required).
• Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient charts/EMRs and exam rooms.
• Accurately document physician-patient interactions.
• Track orders, prescriptions, and testing.
• Perform ophthalmic testing and work up (visual acuity, tonometry, dilation, OCT, VF, etc.).
• Educate patients on procedures, testing, and prescriptions.
• Audit charts for accuracy.
• Provide exceptional patient care and service.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Ophthalmic Scribes play a key role in supporting our providers and patients. You’ll accompany physicians during exams, document real-time patient interactions, and assist with testing and procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepare patient charts/EMRs and exam rooms
• Accurately document physician-patient interactions
• Track orders, prescriptions, and testing
