Vitreous Retina Macula Consultants of New York PC (VRMNY) is seeking an ambitious Ophthalmic Scribe to join our Westchester team. This full-time role supports physicians with precise medical documentation, patient data collection, and room preparation in a fast-paced ophthalmology practice.

The ideal candidate will have EMR proficiency, strong communication, and a willingness to learn HVF, lensometry, tonometry, and related ophthalmic procedures, contributing to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience with EMR and medical terminology; strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to learn HVF, Lensometry, Tonometry, Visual Fields, Slit Lamp Microscopy, and basic patient work ups.
• Working knowledge of eye anatomy, ocular diseases, and medications.

Responsibilities

• Comply with medical documentation requirements and alert physician to incomplete or incorrect records.
• Collect, organize, and catalog data for quality reporting and initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
• Document visits and procedures accurately as performed by the physician.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist during physician exams.
• Perform clerical tasks such as faxing, phone calls, and referrals.
