Vitreous Retina Macula Consultants of New York (VRMNY) is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe to join our Westchester team. The role supports physicians with medical documentation, exam room prep, and clerical duties in a fast-paced ophthalmology practice.

Qualifications

• Experience with medical documentation in a clinical setting.
• Strong compliance and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn ophthalmic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all legal and ethical requirements for medical documentation.
• Collect, organize, and catalog data for physician quality reporting systems and other quality initiatives to increase patient compliance and improve outcomes.
• Document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist during physician exam.
• Perform clerical tasks as needed by the physician including faxing, phone calls, and referral letters.
