Comprehensive EyeCare Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe to support ophthalmologists and optometrists by documenting patient encounters and entering data in real-time within the EHR system.

The role emphasizes accurate medical records, attention to detail, and adherence to privacy guidelines; experience in medical scribing or EMR familiarity is preferred, with high school diploma or GED required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Completion of a medical scribe training program or prior scribing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical practice management and EMR software.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Document patients accurately and efficiently in EHR, capturing medical history, complaints, findings, and plans.
• Strong typing and data entry with focus on accuracy.
• Review records for inconsistencies and ensure proper coding.
• Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and patient education materials.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with physicians to transcribe and enter information into patient records.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medical coding and billing processes.
• May perform other duties as necessary.
