Job summary

St. Luke's Cataract & Laser Institute is seeking a PRN Surgical Scrub/SPD Tech to support ophthalmic surgeries at our Wesley Chapel location.

The role involves providing instruments and supplies during procedures, ensuring sterilization per AAMI standards, and assisting the surgical team under the OR Supervisor. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of surgical scrub experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a surgical scrub technician in an operating room preferred.
• Experience with cleaning and sterilizing instruments.
• Must be mobile in a surgical procedure (walking, sitting, standing, bending, stretching).

Responsibilities

• Provide instrument sets and supplies during ophthalmic surgery.
• Assist surgeon, nurses, and staff during procedures.
• Clean and sterilize instruments per standards.
• Support sterile processing and instrument turnover.
