Job summary

SightMD, a leading ophthalmic provider, seeks a Scrub Nurse LPN to support surgical teams across multiple locations. The role involves preparing the operating room, maintaining sterility, and assisting with instrument passing during procedures, under RN supervision.

Ideal candidates hold an LPN license, 1 year of experience, BLS certification, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Rotating day schedule with hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current and valid LPN license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification.
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain sterility of all instruments and equipment.
• Pass instruments during surgery and assist with positioning.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Document intraoperative details and communicate with the surgical team.
• Monitor patient condition and vital signs under RN or physician direction.
• Reinforce discharge instructions and provide patient education as needed.
