Job summary

Bennett & Bloom Eye Center in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking a Medical Assistant (Ophthalmic Technician) who is willing to train. This PRN position supports doctors with preliminary testing and patient intake, and requires a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Experience in eyecare is preferred but not required; training provided. You will assist with dilations, refractions, and office procedures, while delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify medical and vision insurances.
• Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers.
• Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests.
• Display a professional attitude and greet patients promptly.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies.

Education

High school diploma or GED

COA or COT certification preferred
