61st Street Service Corporation is hiring a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist II to support ColumbiaDoctors in a fast-paced ophthalmology imaging environment. The role involves acquiring, processing, submitting for interpretation, and archiving ophthalmic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of ophthalmology imaging experience and is proficient with fundus photography, OCT, corneal mapping, and related techniques.

Qualifikationen

• High school graduate and a minimum of 2 years’ ophthalmology experience, or equivalent education/experience; B.S. in Biomedical Photography preferred.
• Ability to independently perform a range of ophthalmic imaging techniques, especially fundus photography, OCT, corneal mapping, specular biomicroscopy, and flatbed scanning.
• Certification and imaging experience for clinical research studies required.

Aufgaben

• Perform diagnostic imaging studies and examinations; review imaging requests for appropriateness; position patient and operate imaging equipment.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment; schedule PMs; perform QA and maintain records.
• Process, sterilize, and organize instruments; manage patient records and scheduling in Epic and related systems.
• Explain pre- and post-visit procedures to patients; provide pre/post procedure calls as needed.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new staff and act as escalation point for scheduling issues.
• Support supervisor/manager with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
