Job summary

61st Street Service Corporation in partnership with ColumbiaDoctors seeks a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist I to support ophthalmology imaging, process and archive images, and care for patients in the imaging area to help ensure timely interpretations and a positive patient experience.

The role offers on-site duties across multiple sites; you will learn fundus photography, OCT, corneal mapping, and related techniques while collaborating with clinicians and staff to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; ophthalmology experience preferred.
• Strong service orientation and ability to learn new systems.
• CPR certification preferred; EMR experience with Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging studies and enter data into imaging systems.
• Review imaging requests for appropriateness and relay questions to supervisor.
• Operate ophthalmic imaging equipment including fundus photography and OCT.
• Provide patient care and explain pre/post procedure steps.
