Job summary

UVA Health is seeking an Ophthalmic Photographer to capture high-quality diagnostic images that support diagnosis and treatment of complex eye conditions. You will work closely with ophthalmologists, optometrists, technicians, and clinical staff to ensure accurate data entry and smooth imaging workflows.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• At least 1 year of relevant imaging experience preferred.
• COA-certified ophthalmic assistant certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform ophthalmic diagnostic imaging (fundus photography, OCT, OCT-A, fluorescein angiography, external photography, corneal topography/tomography).
• Prepare patients and provide imaging instructions to ensure quality results.
• Review images for accuracy and labeling; upload into EMR.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and care teams to align imaging with patient care needs.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment and support quality control.
