Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be willing to travel to satellite clinic locations.
• Preferred ophthalmic/medical assisting or healthcare experience; Associate’s degree or higher; familiarity with eye anatomy, conditions, or medications.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful patient care that supports comfort and trust.
• Assist physicians during patient exams, diagnostic testing, and in-office procedures.
• Perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing including OCT, visual field testing, fundus photography, and fluorescein angiographies.
• Ensure high-quality image capture and accurate test results for physician use.
• Prepare, clean, and sanitize exam rooms, instruments, and equipment between patients.
• Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record system.
• Administer eye medications under physician direction for testing or treatment.
• Help maintain efficient clinic flow so patients are seen in a timely and organized manner.
• Communicate clearly with patients about follow-up care, procedures, and next steps.
• Answer patient, pharmacy, and team member calls related to patient care.
• Work collaboratively with team members across clinic locations to ensure continuity of care.
