Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Data Analyst to provide data acquisition, management, and report design for administration and clinicians/researchers. The role collaborates with the CRU and ophthalmic imaging teams to organize, process, and analyze data for AI research and study progress.

The position emphasizes developing data-processing workflows, ensuring data integrity, and delivering insights that support patient outcomes and efficiency improvements within a clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, information management, healthcare information, statistics, business, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of data management/analyst experience.

Responsibilities

• Abstracts data, reconciles data inconsistencies and performs analysis.
• Creates data reports from existing databases based on needs analysis leadership and/or clinicians/researchers.
• Prepares and submits documents to agencies and monitors compliance with contractual terms.
• Monitors data from department information services and creates useful downloads for division directors.
• Designs and creates merged data files and warehouse data sets for efficient reporting.
• Partners with senior leadership to design analyses and reports, focusing on patient outcomes and KPIs.
• May provide education/training on data interpretation and analytics to improve efficiency.
• Develops and maintains protocol for department-wide credentialing of volunteer faculty.
• Designs tools to capture data and run reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
