Job summary

Sanford Health in the United States seeks an ophthalmic assistant to perform preliminary screening and assist physicians with procedures. You will collect patient data and communicate findings to the doctor, supporting accurate diagnosis and patient-centered care.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:00pm; 32 hours weekly; wage based on experience; comprehensive benefits package available.

Qualifications

• High School graduate preferred; training provided for required skills.
• Previous health care experience or training in ophthalmology/optometry/optical office preferred.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary screening examinations and/or tests to facilitate diagnosis and treatment by the provider.
• Assist the physician with procedures and care of the patient.
• Collect subjective and objective ophthalmic data from the patient or caregiver and communicate this data to the doctor.
