Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of the written exam for Certified Ophthalmic Assistant is required.
• Recent graduate of an Ophthalmic Technology Program (not yet COT certified) and 1 year of direct patient care under an Ophthalmologist.

Responsibilities

• Document patient information in the patient medical record.
• Perform stocking, maintenance and other related duties, including maintaining exam rooms, equipment and supplies.
• Perform clinical and technical ophthalmic duties and basic patient care as directed by physician or supervisor.
