Trinity Health is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician for a full-time, day-shift role. The position primarily operates at the Maywood location with travel to Burr Ridge, Hickory Hills, and Oakbrook Terrace as needed.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive patient care, ophthalmic testing, triage, and patient education. A required Associates degree or equivalent training is stated, with certification within the first year of employment.

HOURS: Monday thru Friday Day Shift

Minimum Education: Required: Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
Specify Degree(s): Ophthalmic Technician Program

Minimum Experience: Required: Less than one year of previous job-related experience

Possess demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in manual refraction and applanation tonometry to support comprehensive ophthalmic care.

Preferred: At least one (1) year of previous job-related experience, highly preferred.

After graduation from an ophthalmic technician education course, staff in the Ophthalmic Assistant position are required to become certified ophthalmic assistants within the first year of employment.

COMPENSATION

Pay Range: $22.18 - $29.55 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
