Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician for a full-time, day-shift role. The position primarily operates at the Maywood location with travel to Burr Ridge, Hickory Hills, and Oakbrook Terrace as needed.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive patient care, ophthalmic testing, triage, and patient education. A required Associates degree or equivalent training is stated, with certification within the first year of employment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree OR equivalent training required.
• Ophthalmic technician program as degree specification.
• Minimum experience: Less than one year in the role; one year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care including specialized ophthalmic testing, triage and patient teaching.
• Perform basic and routine eye examination procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.
• Explain diagnostic and treatment procedures to patients.
