The OA will be responsible for ophthalmic workups, patient history, answering patient messages, assisting in surgical procedures, and more. Current Ophthalmic Assistant Certification (COA, COT, or COMT) is preferred. If you are not certified (COA, COT, or COMT), you must be certification eligible and must obtain certification (COA, COT, or COMT) within one (1) year of employment.
