Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Non-Certified Ophthalmic Assistant in Strongsville, OH, to support ophthalmology services at the Strongsville Family Health & Surgery Center. You will gather patient histories, perform diagnostic tests and scheduling, and prep exam rooms under ophthalmologist supervision.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of direct ophthalmic patient care, plus knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year experience in an ophthalmic setting providing direct patient care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare patients for examination or treatment.
• Perform initial patient examinations, ophthalmic testing procedures and routine screening tests.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Document patient information in their medical record.
• Perform clerical, stocking, maintenance and related duties.
