Job summary

Cleveland Clinic in Beachwood, OH is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to provide patient-first care under the supervision of a licensed ophthalmologist. You will help with histories, diagnostic tests, scheduling, and prep for examinations.

This position runs 7:30am to 4:30pm and offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus. The ideal candidate has at least one year in ophthalmic patient care and knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year experience in an ophthalmic setting providing direct patient care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare patients for examination or treatment.
• Perform initial patient examinations, ophthalmic testing procedures and routine screening tests.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Document patient information in their medical record.
• Perform clerical, stocking, maintenance and related duties.
