Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus as a Non Certified Ophthalmic Assistant II. Support the Ophthalmology team with patient care during day shifts, 7:30am-4:00pm, in a fast-paced, world-class environment.

You will assist with examinations, prepare patients, document encounters, and help maintain exam rooms and equipment. High School Diploma or GED and knowledge of medical terminology are required; one year ophthalmic experience or related training preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• One year of experience in an ophthalmic setting providing direct patient care OR formal education or training in Ophthalmology

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare patients for examination or treatment.
• Perform clinical and technical ophthalmic duties for high acuity patient populations.
• Document patient information in the patient medical record.
• Perform stocking, maintenance and other duties, including maintaining exam rooms, equipment and supplies.
