Job summary

Associated Eye Care is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to gather essential medical information, perform diagnostic tests, and support ophthalmic providers.

Responsibilities include patient workups, refractions, imaging, and ensuring a world-class patient experience. Requires high school diploma and healthcare experience; Epic is used for documentation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year in optometry/ophthalmology preferred.
  • Healthcare experience (1–2 years) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and team members.
  • Perform patient workups for optometrists/ophthalmologists including acuity, IOP, eye drops, refractions, and special tests.
  • Document findings following policies and procedures.

Job description

Position SummaryThis individual is responsible for gathering and documenting essential medical information from the patient, performing a variety of diagnostic tests, and providing the ophthalmic provider with needed information to accurately assess the patient’s ocular health. This position is also responsible for creating a world class patient experience for each patient.Expected compensation between $21.99 - $26.39/hour.
