The successful candidate will have a high school diploma (some college preferred) and 1–2 years in healthcare, with COA/COT being a plus. Strong communication, reliability, and a patient‑focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic patient assessments, including visual acuity tests and intraocular pressure measurements.
• Perform tests such as confrontation visual fields, cover testing, and versions, and assist in manifest refractions.
• Greet patients, explain testing procedures, answer questions, and provide education.
• Collaborate with clinical support team and providers to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Maintain a safe work environment by recognizing and addressing hazards.
• Utilize EMR to accurately record patient data for provider review.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic patient assessments, including visual acuity tests, intraocular pressure measurements, and dilation.
• Perform a range of tests such as confrontation visual fields, cover testing, and versions, and assist in manifest refractions.
• Greet patients warmly, explain testing procedures, answer questions, and provide necessary education.
• Work closely with the clinical support team and providers to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow.
• Maintain a safe work environment by recognizing and addressing common safety hazards.
• Utilize the EMR system to accurately record patient data and ensure it’s ready for provider review.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma required; some college or a degree preferred. Certification as a COA or COT is a plus.

Experience: 1‑2 years in a healthcare environment.
