Job summary

Thomas Eye Group PC is a premier eye care provider serving the Atlanta area. Hillandale – Lithonia, GA 30058 is our location for this opening. The role focuses on assisting clinicians with patient testing, EMR documentation, and coordinating care to ensure a smooth patient flow.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma (some college preferred) and 1–2 years in healthcare, with COA/COT being a plus. Strong communication, reliability, and a patient‑focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; some college or a degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience with EMR and diagnostic codes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct basic patient assessments, including visual acuity tests and intraocular pressure measurements.
  • Perform tests such as confrontation visual fields, cover testing, and versions, and assist in manifest refractions.
  • Greet patients, explain testing procedures, answer questions, and provide education.
  • Collaborate with clinical support team and providers to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by recognizing and addressing hazards.
  • Utilize EMR to accurately record patient data for provider review.
