Responsibilities

• Patient Work‑Up: conduct basic patient assessments, including visual acuity tests, intraocular pressure measurements, and dilation.
• Testing and Evaluation: perform a range of tests such as confrontation visual fields, cover testing, versions, and assist in manifest refractions.
• Patient Interaction: greet patients warmly, explain testing procedures, answer questions, and provide necessary education.
• Team Collaboration: work closely with our clinical support team and providers to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow.
• Safety and Compliance: maintain a safe work environment by recognizing and addressing common safety hazards.
• Documentation: utilize our EMR system to accurately record patient data and ensure it’s ready for provider review.

Education

• High school diploma is required; some college or a degree is preferred.
• Certification as a COA or COT is a plus.

Experience

• 1‑2 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
