Northwest Eye Surgeons - Mt Vernon in Mount Vernon, WA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide specialized nursing care in our Ambulatory Surgery Center. You will support patients throughout their surgical experience, following physician orders and safety standards.

The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, sterile technique, and collaboration with the surgical team. Required Licensure in Washington, BLS certification, and OR/ASC experience preferred; proficiency

Qualifications

• LPN license in Washington state and BLS certification required.
• Experience in OR/ASC or ophthalmic settings preferred.
• Strong emphasis on sterile technique and patient safety.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, admit, monitor, and discharge patients around procedures.
• Perform preop/postop calls and reinforce care instructions.
• Document histories, vitals, and conditions accurately.
• Administer medications per orders and scope.
• Assist with intraoperative tasks within scope.
• Provide patient and family education on procedures and care.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
