Job summary

The Hershey Company in Bluffton, IN is hiring for a yard/transport operator responsible for shuttling trailers, moving equipment, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role requires a Class A CDL, strong safety discipline, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Weekly pay with a $500 sign-on bonus and benefits including a 401(k) retirement plan and PTO are offered. Training on S4 Hana will be provided to manage inventory and shipping documents.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL in good standing (DOT)
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
• Manual dexterity for operating machinery
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds; frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds
• Safety equipment usage (eye protection, hearing protection, boots, hard hat)

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Yard Tractor maneuvering trailers on the property lot.
• Safely operate all Material Handling Equipment and perform safety checks.
• Maintain food safety awareness and report issues to management.
• Follow Hershey and SQF policies and procedures; inspections and verifications.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials as needed.
• Process transactions in S4 Hana for inventory accuracy and lot control; data entry into S4 Hana and databases.
• Move materials in and out of storage safely and without damage.
• Generate shipping documents via S4 Hana.
• Communicate with customers, drivers, dispatchers, and crew to ensure smooth transitions.

Working 3-4 days/week ( One week : Sun, Wed, Thurs Next week :Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat). This is a 2-2-3 schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off rotation)

Job Summary:
Responsible for shuttling trailers to and from satellite warehouse(s), moving trailers around the property lot, and tracking trailer locations.

• Safelyoperateall Material Handling Equipment and perform the necessary safety checks prior to operating.
• Alwaysmaintainfood safety awareness andimmediatelyreport any issues to management.
• Operate within the guidelines of allHersheyand SQF policies and procedures.
• Perform all necessary inspections and verifications.
• Correctlyattach identifyingtags or labels to materials as needed.
• Make all transactions within S4 Hana to ensure inventory accuracy andlotcontrol are alwaysmaintained. Comprehend data entry into S4 Hana and databases.
• Move materials in and out of storage safely and without damage
• Generate all necessary shipping documents via S4 Hana
• Communicate to customers, drivers, dispatchers, etc., at the window or by phone and with oncoming crew to ensure a smooth transition.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

• Class A CDL in good standing andmaintainedas required under DOT
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills arerequired(must pass the Math skills test).
• Manual dexterityrequiredfor operating machinery
• Abilitytolift upto 100 poundsisrequired.Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 40 pounds.
• Machinery operation requires using safety equipment including but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hard hats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are notpermitted.
