North Sky Communications is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator in Tualatin, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for operating drill equipment for the installation of underground telecommunications infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include determining bore paths, managing utilities, and conducting vehicle and equipment maintenance, all while ensuring safety in various weather conditions. The position requires a valid CDL license and relevant experience with drilling equipment.

• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Willingness to obtain a tanker endorsement is preferred.

Overview

Telecom Drill Bores Operator at North Sky Communications, LLC. You’ll be responsible for operating drill equipment to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Utilize “Mud” mixing systems
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• A CDL license is required (with tanker preferred) or the willingness to obtain it
• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver’s license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
