Job summary

Mammoth Mountain is seeking seasonal Snow Operations staff to operate snow removal equipment on roads and lots in Mammoth Lakes, CA. You will also assist with early-season snowmaking, using snow guns, pumps and snowmobiles, often under challenging conditions.

Positions require a California CDL (or eligibility) and willingness to work night shifts in variable weather. Training for a California Class B license is provided, with safety and DOT drug regulations in effect.

Qualifications

• Must have a California CDL or be eligible to obtain one with relevant experience.
• Minimum age 19, with a license for at least three years, and a clean driving record for the past three years.
• This is a Safety Sensitive position subject to DOT drug regulations.
• Training provided for California Class B license.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for snow removal from roads and parking areas.
• Early season snowmaking with snow guns, pumps, and snowmobiles in adverse weather.
• Use plow trucks, loaders, and blowers, often working at night with poor visibility.
• Maintain flexible, weather-driven schedules and participate in training as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and DOT regulations.

Hourly pay rate: $20.70 to $35.58

About the Position:

Operate equipment for snow removal from roads and parking areas. Early season duties include snowmaking with snow guns, pumps, and snowmobiles, often in adverse weather conditions.

Requirements:

Seasonal positions for snowmaking early in the season and snow removal from highways and facilities during winter.

Use plow trucks, loaders, and blowers to clear snow, often working at night in storms with poor visibility. Flexible, weather-driven schedules with training in snowmaking and heavy equipment use. Training provided for California Class B license. Night work leaves daytime free. Work usually available until Easter, depending on weather and resort business levels. Pay scale advancement based on skills and abilities. Skills assessment after 120 operating hours may lead to a raise or promotion.

Must have a California Commercial Driver's License or be eligible to acquire one with relevant experience. Minimum age of 19, with a license for at least three years, and a clean driving record for the past three years. No major violations in the last three years. This is a Safety Sensitive position subject to DOT drug regulations.
