Job summary

Jbt-Marel is seeking a reliable paint sprayer to apply protective or decorative coatings to machine parts and work areas. You will prepare surfaces, mask areas, mix and apply coatings, and operate spray equipment while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning equipment, adjusting spray valves, handling lift truck operations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production KPIs in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Sprays coatings on surfaces of machines, parts, or work areas.

• Sets up spray equipment, adjusts valves/nozzle for correct width and pressure.
• Operates a lift truck with certification as required.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and follows safety practices.

Job description

This position sprays surfaces of machines, manufactured parts or working area with protective or decorative material such as paint or enamel. This job requires strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support the organization.Essential FunctionsCleans grease and dirt from equipment.Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush or steel wool.Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.Pours coating liquid in to spray container and connects gun to air hose.Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.Coast areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush.Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.Operate lift truck with certification.Communicate regularly with other individuals/departments within the organization.Other duties assigned due to the need of the business.Physical/Environmental RequirementsManufacturing environment: may be exposed to loud noises, machinery with moving parts.Bending, stooping, twist, turn, sitting for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50lbs occasionally.Skills and AbilitiesGood communication skills and ability to work in a multi-discipline team environment.Ability to execute agreed tasks and deadlines against performance criteria (KPI)Result orientation, ability to follow through and respect deadlines.Computer/ERP literateProactive and organized.Ability to manage confidential information.Physical Capacity Profile/Drug screen required.Commitment to Global SafetySafety is every employee’s responsibility.
