·General Summary:This position is responsible for the safe completion of work in the most efficient manner in their area of responsibility. This position performs the duties of a painter in the completion of an assignment under the authority of the area Plant Manager. The painter will be responsible for painting a variety of industrial surfaces, including equipment, machinery, walls, floors, ceilings, and other structures.Essential Functions:The person in this position needs to occasionally move about the facility to retrieve parts and other tasksApply coatings using electrostatic and non-electrostatic processesMaintains chemicals in the wash tankOperates thinner recyclerMove, hang, and remove materials as needed to using hoists, cranes, or other available methodsPerforms minor maintenance of painting equipmentNotify manager of inventory needsFollow all safety regulationsPerforms other duties as assigned by the SupervisorExpectations:You will be expected to obtain the tools listed as “Minimum Required Tools” for your classification. Regular attendance and starting on time are essential. Responsible for the quality of own work and not to accept poor quality workmanship from others. Controls the preparation for and application of paint.
