Scotts Miracle-Gro in Fort Madison, IA is seeking production teammates for an hourly role on the assembly line. You will assemble liquid packaging components, replenish supplies, and feed parts to conveyors to keep the line running smoothly.

The role includes communication with peers and supervisors about line performance and adherence to quality processes to meet product standards across displays and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Manually assemble/install various liquid packaging components including sprayers, caps, dividers, cases, display units.
• Replenish and unload components such as cardboard, glue, plastic wrap, pumps, inserts, bottles, caps, labels, sprayers to avoid breaks in the assembly process.
• Feed components onto conveyors, hoppers, machinery or other devices to maintain production flow.
• Communicate performance of the production line to peers and supervisors.
• Perform manufacturing inspection protocols to ensure plant quality standards on liquid packaging products and display units.
• Interpret and understand quality verification processes.

This hourly role follows the Scotts step pay progression scale and typically starts at $19.30 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

In this role you will:

• Manually assemble/install various liquid packaging component parts including but not limited to sprayers, caps, box dividers, cases, display units, etc
• Replenish and unload components, such as corrugated cardboard, glue, plastic wrap, pumps, inserts, bottles, caps, labels, sprayers, etc., avoiding breaks in the production assembly process.
• Feed components onto assembly conveyor, into hoppers, machinery or other devices to maintain continuous production.
• Effectively communicate and relay information to peers and supervisors concerning the performance of the production line as it pertains to the assembly, operation and performance of the line.
• Perform various manufacturing inspection protocols to ensure plant quality standards on liquid packaging products and display units.
• Perform Interpret and understand quality verification processes.
