Job summary

Rich’s, also known as Rich Products Corporation, is a family-owned food company producing cakes, icings, pizza, appetizers and toppings for homes and foodservice worldwide. This role supports safe, efficient machine operation on the production line, ensuring quality products meet customer and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of production experience, good English literacy, and the ability to work in cold environments.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of production experience.
  • Good communications skills, hard working, dependable, safety conscious.
  • Read, write English and know basic math.
  • Able to operate mechanical and electrical machines.
  • Able to make logical decisions.
  • Work bending and squatting.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work standing or walking for long periods.
  • Work in cold refrigerated and frozen conditions.
  • Noise level is moderate to loud.
  • Flexible to different shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Produce a quality product meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate with supervisor as required.
  • Ensure tools, settings and supplies are ready prior to production.
  • Monitor machines and prevent unauthorized use.
  • Record materials used on the line for the shift.
  • Assist supervisor in maintaining clean, safe work areas.
  • Make minor machine adjustments and report major repairs.
  • Record downtime due to machine malfunctions and report.
  • Follow GMPs and USDA guidelines and hygiene practices.
  • Report food safety or quality issues to supervision and QA.
  • Comply with customer requirements when applicable.

Purpose Statement

To prepare and operate machines safely, efficiently, and cleanly.

Key Accountabilities And Outcomes
  • Responsible for the production of a quality product that meets all customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Effectively communicates as required with supervisor.
  • Assures that the necessary tools, settings and supplies are ready prior to production.
  • Maintains constant attendance to the machines and prevents other employees that are not trained on that machine from improper use.
  • Records and accounts for all materials used on the line for assigned shift.
  • Assists supervisor in maintaining the work areas in a clean and safe manner.
  • Makes minor machine adjustment, and informs the supervisor and the maintenance department when major repairs are required.
  • Records all down time due to machine malfunctions and reports them to the supervisor at the end of the shift.
  • Adhere to all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), such as good hand washing practices and adhering to the employee hygiene plan.
  • Follow all USDA guidelines
  • Report any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and/or quality assurance
  • Comply with customer requirements when applicable
Knowledge, Skills, And Experience

Compensation

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$18.00 - $18.00
