Job summary

Schaeffler Transmission Systems, LLC is seeking a manufacturing associate to support production lines in a fast-paced environment. The role involves preparing machines with proper tooling and parameterization, monitoring status, and taking corrective actions as needed.

Responsibilities include controlling machine/production processes, inspecting parts for defects, and assisting maintenance to prevent downtime. Candidates should comply with safety rules and wear PPE at all times.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Good visual acuity and ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for production by tooling and parametrization per work orders.
• Monitor production status and act on deviations between sequences.
• Operate processes and follow documented procedures.
• Inspect parts, identify defects, and discard defective items per protocol.
• Assist maintenance to prevent downtime and inspect machines.
• Adhere to safety rules and PPE usage at all times.

Job description

Your Key Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information
• Check production status within and in between each production sequence and take action in case of deviations
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English
• Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Good visual acuity
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with power tools
• Ability to read Blueprints
