Job summary

Schaeffler Transmission Systems, LLC is seeking a skilled machine operator to prepare machines, monitor production, and inspect parts in a US manufacturing environment. You will follow procedures, maintain quality, and support maintenance to minimize downtime.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, clear English communication, and the ability to operate medium complex machinery. Full-time, on-site work with 2nd shift premium and benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English.
• Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information.
• Check production status within and in between each production sequence and take action in case of deviations.
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes.
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol.
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines.
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information

Your Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English
• Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Good visual acuity
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Preferred

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience of operating machines in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with power tools
• Ability to read Blueprints
