Progress Rail, a Caterpillar company, is seeking an Industrial Machine Operator/Machinist at the Jackson, SC facility to produce steel railroad components. The role requires working 2nd shift and weekends, with strong attention to safety and quality in a fast-paced shop environment.

You should have a High School Diploma or GED and preferably some machining experience, including reading micrometers and using basic measuring devices, to ensure tight tolerances and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Industrial Machine Operator/Machinist experience preferred.
• Must understand safe work practices.
• Ability to read micrometers and work to tight tolerances.
• Follow all work procedures and maintain accurate production records.
• Must be able to complete production reports with accuracy.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Must be quality oriented and a team player.
