Job summary

Schaeffler Battery Technology, LLC in Wooster, Ohio, is seeking a Machine Operator to prepare machines, follow work orders, and monitor production sequences to ensure quality.

You will inspect parts, assist maintenance, and adhere to safety rules; prior experience is preferred, and US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

  • Required: High school diploma or GED; ability to follow written and verbal instructions; English communication ability; operate medium complex machinery; lift medium-heavy objects.
  • Preferred: 1+ year of machine operation experience; read blueprints; experience with power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information.
  • Check production status within and in between each production sequence and take action on deviations.
  • Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes.
  • Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol.
  • Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines.
  • Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper PPE use.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information.
  • Check production status within and in between each production sequence and taking action in case of deviations.
  • Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes.
  • Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol.

  • Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Your Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English.
  • Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good visual acuity.
  • Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.

Preferred:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience of operating machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with power tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
