Job summary

Danisco USA Inc. is seeking a Production Operator to safely operate packaging equipment on the production line and support neighboring lines as needed.

Responsibilities include proper handling, packaging, labeling, sampling materials, documenting production day, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Lifting up to 55 lbs, following SOPs, and wearing respirators as required are part of the role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and with a group in accordance with safety & sanitation standards.
  • Basic computer skills: Access, Outlook and SharePoint.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Ability to work on your feet the majority of the day.
  • Moderate to heavy stair climbing (including vertical ladders).

  • Accurate and timely sampling of materials and communication to lab.
  • Accurate and timely documentation of your production day.
  • Safe, healthy and clean work environment.
  • Report all accidents or near misses to Lead/Supervisor.
  • Willing to support other production lines and assist Spray Operators.
  • Regular on time attendance.
  • Proper and timely communication of equipment performance to Operators/Leads.
  • Effective evaluation of the quality of all packaging raw materials consumed in the operation.
  • Report any defects you encounter to Lead/Supervisor.
  • All product change overs are completed in an efficient and timely manner.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position operates in a production/plant environment 95% of the time. This position requires lifting up to 55 lbs. (25 kg). Incumbent must be willing to work in hot and/or cold environments. Incumbent must also be willing to work in a dusty environment and be willing/able to wear half or full-face respirators.
